Executive Director of Corporate Services

Performing a key role in the organisation, you will lead our Procurement, Digital, Legal and Assurance, Transformation and Finance services. Within Finance, we use a matrix management approach, and your relationship with our s151 officer will be critical in ensuring the financial stability of our organisation, especially as the role evolves and expands with our changing organisation. Ultimately, your role will be to ensure that corporate services are a key enabler of the objectives of our current and future council.

This position is highly visible and demanding, requiring a leader with a strong professional reputation and the ability to manage large and complex support services.

You will need to be influential and resilient, working with stakeholders across ECC, both locally and nationally, including politicians and residents. A mature understanding of strategic partnerships is essential to your success.

As part of the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT), at the heart of the Council’s organisational strategy and change agenda you will be accountable for the success of our professional and support services. Your leadership will help develop a cohesive and effective service that embraces and drives change.
